Zack Haines

Zack has never not fished. He grew up west of Oklahoma City fishing bass ponds and dirty creeks for sunfish and large mouth bass. He spent lots of time exploring the creeks and ponds nearby his house with his little brother, and regular drives with his grandpa to fish local ponds. As he got older he continued fishing on his own accord from small ponds to Lake Eufala, where he spent many summers fishing for the usual lake fare.

In 2015, Zack moved to Tahlequah, Oklahoma to support his wife while she attended school. During this time he picked up a fly rod and fell in love with fly fishing the streams and rivers of the Ozarks in eastern Oklahoma. He became obsessed with fly fishing for small mouth bass and trout! Upon his wife graduating they decided to relocate to Northwest Arkansas to enjoy more fly fishing and the outdoors.

Zack became more focused on fly fishing for trout at this time and became increasingly interested in becoming a fly fishing guide. He attended fly fishing guide school in Montana to gain more knowledge of the basics of guiding. He spends most days on the Beaver tailwaters increasing his knowledge of this dynamic ecosystem.

Zack really enjoys the detail that is involved with fly fishing. From mimicking local bug life with the flies, to knowing which bugs are hatching during that day on the water. He enjoys spending his days on the water and helping others start their fly fishing journey.
